For most luxury travelers, a planning window of 9–12 months is recommended for a trip to Japan. Peak seasons (particularly cherry blossom season in late March and April, and autumn foliage season in November) move the fastest, with the best guides, accommodations, and most sought-after cultural experiences booking well in advance. For travel during these windows, earlier is always better to secure your preferred dates, accommodations, and exclusive cultural access. These days, we highly encourage our clients to book as far in advance as possible to secure what they want and, importantly, to secure sought-after and scarce guides.
